“Example of Use” for Paddle Assisted:
Cementation Foundations Skanska ordered two high capacity automated batching plants, based upon the successful and proven Colmixer CP range for work on the Stratford Box (Channel Tunnel Rail Link Contract 230). These two containerised units are required to provide bentonite slurry for diaphragm walls and piling. Cementation Projects Director said, “Plant reliability is a very important part of Cementation’s commitment to its customers – we were looking not only for a modern efficient mixer, but also one that wouldn’t break down. Added to this, Colcrete was able to respond rapidly to our initial enquiry, and was happy to meet our full requirements. The Colcrete mixer seemed a very safe choice!”

Murphy Group’s contract to construct a new cable tunnel from Elstree to St Johns Wood in London was undertaken using three Lovat full face TBM’s, one drive using bolted grouted tunnel rings is supported by two Colmixer CP1500 units which prepare cementitious grout for annulus grouting during tunnel construction. Murphy project manager said, “We have used equipment from Colcrete Eurodrill before. It has always performed well and its backup support is very efficient. One thing that really appeals about the equipment is that once it is set up and starts running, you can virtually forget about it as it’s very reliable.”
