I am writing to express our thanks for the excellent performance of the ultrafine cement and resin grout module supplied by Colcrete Eurodrill for our Shaft Isolation Project, one of the most sophisticated grouting projects undertaken in the UK over recent years.

During early tendering work for the project, Colcrete Eurodrill supplied reliable advice on the specification, potential output and both purchase and operating costs for such specialist grouting plant. Following contract award, our detailed scoping requirements for the equipment were rapidly understood and translated into a supply timescale that matched our construction programme.

Once the equipment was complete and ready for delivery to site, the programme of early operator training and on site commissioning offered by Colcrete Eurodrill allowed the equipment to begin work within 1 week of delivery to site. Early teething problems were rapidly solved and changes to the control software requested by ourselves were implemented smoothly allowing grout production work to continue without disruption.

Over the 3 year period of the grouting contract, the grout module proved impressively reliable with both major mechanical parts such the twin SD200 mixers and complex electronic components such as the electromagnetic flow meters working without missing a beat. Where reliability issues were encountered, these typically revolved around handling of the ultrafine cement powder. An open approach by both parties allowed these issues to be discussed and resolved in an honest, efficient manner.

Following completion of the Shaft Isolation Project we are confident that we have a great piece of equipment supported by excellent service from Clay Cross and hope to be putting the grout module to work again in the near future.
